Questions
Do I need to write code?
No. In the Mapailytics Studio: Get Demographics, then Add a Data Map block, then Publish. Developers can call Demographics directly with an API key instead.
What does every result include?
Census population, households, median age and household income for a location.
Where does the data come from?
Canada: Statistics Canada 2021 Census of Population, dissemination-area level (Open Government Licence – Canada). United States: American Community Survey 5-year estimates, census-tract level (public domain).
How is it billed?
Included in the Schools application. Any workspace can also add Demographics pay-per-use under Profile → APIs, billed monthly with a spending limit you choose.
Can I put it on a map?
Yes: Census areas. The census areas (dissemination areas) in the map's current view, as outlines you can shade.
